ELLA is an extraordinary 2-year old, spayed and declawed female tortie Siamese mix Domestic Shorthaired cat whose owner surrendered her to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 6th because they said having a cat was too much responsibility for them. Weighing 10 lbs., this fantastic girl is unique in both looks and personality. She’s mainly crème in color with tortie speckled patterns on her face, the back of her ears and her legs. Her Siamese crossed eyes are a striking blue. Ella is probably the most comical cat we’ve ever seen in the cattery at the shelter. She is an absolute clown and had us in stitches during her photo shoot. Who needs television when you have Ella in the house? Ella will be an amazing indoor pet and entertaining companion for anyone in any type of family household.

Ella’s Impound Number is A4753175. For more information on Ella, please contact her Adoption Coordinator Mary at 909-233-4669 or the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center at 626-962-3577.

TESSA is a heavenly 6-month old, spayed female dilute calico Domestic Shorthaired kitten who was found in Baldwin Park and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on August 25th. Weighing 5 lbs., this little wonder goes about life without a care in the world. She is inquisitive and playful and will put on quite a display by rubbing back and forth against the bars of her cage to get your attention. During her photo shoot she had her own idea of how this time should be spent. She rolled around on the table and kneaded the blanket. After much coaxing, she finally looked at the camera with a stare that said “Can’t you see I’m busy here?” If you’re looking for a kitty that is loaded with personality, Tessa is your girl! Tessa will be a fun and entertaining indoor pet and family member for anyone in any type of living situation.

Tessa’s Impound Number is A4749062. For more information on Tessa, please contact her Adoption Coordinator Mary at 909-233-4669 or the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center at 626-962-3577.

SHOGA is an exceptional 5-month old, spayed female orange tabby and white Domestic Shorthaired kitten who was found in La Puente with her siblings on April 14th and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center. Shoga’s story is a special one. She and her siblings were only about 48 hours old when they were brought into the shelter with no mother to feed them. A shelter volunteer took them into her home and began the arduous process of trying to save them with round-the-clock care. Shoga was the runt of the litter and extremely tiny and weak, and on two occasions came very close to losing her life. Today, with the devotion of that special volunteer, Shoga is healthy, happy, and the life of the party! Being raised by a human parent, she trusts and loves every person she meets. Shoga was also raised with dog siblings so is very canine friendly. We want to see her get out of the shelter environment and into a permanent, loving home. She absolutely deserves it after coming this far. Shoga will be an outstanding indoor pet, companion and family member for anyone in any type of living situation.

Shoga’s Impound Number is A4696774. For more information on Shoga, please contact her Adoption Coordinator Mary at 909-233-4669 or the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center at 626-962-3577.

RASCAL is an outgoing 5-month-old blue-and-white male Pit Bull mix puppy who was found in Whittier and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 8th. Weighing 38 lbs, Rascal will likely hit the 50 or 60 lb mark when he becomes an adult. This handsome boy is so unaware that he’s a big guy that he jumps into your lap. He hasn’t had any training, but he is eager to please and highly motivated by treats and squeaky toys, so he should be a pleasure to train. Rascal enjoys other dogs his size, but because of his enthusiasm and lack of training he needs to be properly introduced to any new dogs. Rascal will make a superb indoor companion for an active individual or family with bully-breed experience living in a private home with a fenced yard.

MATILDA is a magnificent 2-year-old blue female Pit Bull mix who was found in Covina as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 3rd. Weighing 53 lbs, this pocket pittie is nothing but perfection! Matilda is all lapdog and will jump into yours at the first opportunity! This big cuddle bug adores giving kisses and insists on being by your side at all times. Matilda has a wonderful medium to low energy, a stately maturity for her young age. She walks well on leash and will “sit” on command, but like any dog, could benefit from additional training. She has scored a perfect 100% on her shelter administered temperament test, a testament to her awesome socialization with people and other dogs. We believe Matilda may also be housebroken. Matilda will make an amazing indoor companion for a family living in a private home.

FIDO is a playful 2-year-old black-and-white neutered male Labrador Retriever mix who was found in Covina and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on September 1st. Weighing 70 lbs, Fido has an infectious enthusiasm for life! He walks well on leash but could benefit from additional training. He is friendly with and eager to meet other dogs, but he should have supervised meet-and-greets because of his energy level. Fido’s most favorite thing in the world is to play with toys—he’ll even toss them around to occupy himself! Fido will make the perfect running, hiking, and swimming buddy for an active individual or family living in a private home with a fenced yard.
